Thank you. Issue was in that I don't install IDE but install Export pluging. After installing IDE - preview button work prefectly!

Hi, after downloading and installing - in 3d max 2012 I see not 2.5.17. There posted 2.5.13 it's not mistake?

Hi all,

I'm back from using Alternativa3D to Flare3D! :) Glad to see all u.
So, I have question #1

1) 3d max x64 2012 don't show preview.
- draw box
- menu>Flare3D, in pop-up I select Preview

Seems to Flare3D Tools.exe opens for a while and than close back.
Nothing was generated so I can preview something.

I use lates 2.5.17 beta export plugin.

Who can suggest something?

From my experience. If you made your ground plane in 3D max but applying texture from actionsript - you can in 3d max map map with x10 scale for example.

if actionscript you can simply add texture - flare will save repeations of u&v )

Wow ) Good question. When I thinking about that few month ago - I don't find solution. But logically I think you need to find solution make visibility of object = false, than render a shadow, than turn it back.

But i don't know if this can help

I know I can using bitmapdata make a shadows. But this is to hard ) Better have this feature that can be applied to any mesh.

I understand issue - there need to setup blend mode. First channel it's  texture second its shaded color. But what must be blend mode so textures will be good? with normal contrast

Top of walls and "concrete" material priority: +10
Plinth: 0
Walls: -30
Floor: -50

I remade this by new - here is issues. And how if I will have complex map when flare3D 2.0 will come? We need spend few month for setting manually priority or what? ))) And what if priority will collide with others? We well see thru walls and floors?

But if flare3d don't use bsp rendering - how u can avoid this if developers must set this for each model for each element in model.

for example make room with -50 priority, floor with -40, roof with 0, plinth -20

and you will see so floor will render over plinth but looking on priority this is issue because firstly must be renderer plinth and than floor. And sometime walls goes over plinth but it's too wrong
